Hand Dyed Yarn Without Superwash Treatment Arrives Soon

Hand Dyed Yarn Without Superwash Treatment Arrives Soon

We're excited to announce that several new hand-dyed yarns are coming to Coal Creek Yarn in the coming weeks. Each of these fibers has been carefully selected for its unique qualities and beautiful dye-taking properties.

What's on the way:

  • Corriedale Woolen Aran Weight — A versatile, workhorse yarn perfect for sweaters, blankets, and everyday projects. Corriedale's crimp and loft create wonderful stitch definition and a soft hand.
  • Kid Mohair & Mulberry Silk Lace Weight — Luxuriously delicate and shimmering. This blend is ideal for shawls, wraps, and garments where drape and elegance matter.
  • Baby Suri Alpaca & Mulberry Silk Lace Weight — Incredibly soft and lustrous. The combination of baby suri alpaca and silk creates a yarn that's both cloud-like and beautifully fluid.
  • Andean Highland Wool Super Bulky Weight — Bold and chunky, this yarn works up fast and creates striking texture. Perfect for cozy blankets and statement pieces.

All of these yarns are non-superwash, meaning they retain the natural character and lanolin of the fiber. This makes them ideal for knitters and crocheters who appreciate traditional wool handling and the authentic feel of natural fibers.

Since we've just begun the dyeing process, new colors and skeins are being added regularly. We encourage you to check back often to see what's fresh from the dye pot. Follow along on our social channels for sneak peeks and updates as these beauties come to life.
